We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior hydraulic engineer to join our team. As a senior technical advisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-level investigations, design reviews, systems development, audits, and advisory services related to water and wastewater standards and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a senior technical advisor for hydraulic matters, delivering high-level investigations, design, reviews, systems development, audits, and advisory services related to water and wastewater standards and infrastructure.
- Provide cross-portfolio support in hydraulic engineering discipline matters across the organization.
- Lead technical support on Safety in Design matters for the hydraulic discipline, ensuring integration in all engineering activities.
- Collaborate with the Principal Engineer, Hydraulic to support the technical development of Engineering's Hydraulic team.
- Develop and review designs, standards, specifications, and technical guidance for water and wastewater networks and related infrastructure.
- Oversee complex hydraulic investigations, risk assessments, and compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering, or an equivalent field; eligibility for professional registration/charter as applicable.
- A senior level of experience in hydraulic engineering within water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic design, modelling, systems development, and audit practices; experience with Safety in Design methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, think strategically, and influence across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and design documentation.
