Workshop Foreman Job Description

The Workshop Foreman is a key leadership role that oversees the fitting of camper trailers and accessories in a professional environment.

This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a self-driven approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in fitting Camper trailer accessories, leading workshop teams, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality control.

The primary duties include:

  • Fitting and assembling camper trailers and accessories in a timely manner
  • Supervising and developing a team of fitters to ensure their effectiveness and customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining accurate records of volumes and resources to optimize performance
  • Ensuring all operations are completed to customer specifications and company rules
  • Providing regular feedback and reporting to senior management on workshop performance and deliverables
  • Developing and implementing health and safety, security programs and activities
  • Maintaining the physical condition of the workshop by planning new design layouts, inspecting equipment, and issuing work orders for repair or replacement
  • Ensuring processes for receiving and storing products are followed

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in fitting Camper trailer accessories in a professional setting
  • Self-motivated and driven with exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Experience leading and supervising a workshop team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • A qualification as a Mechanic or Auto Electrician
