Senior Hospital Scientist

The Senior Hospital Scientist plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations within the Haemostasis laboratory section.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and maintain Haemostasis laboratory instrumentation and methodologies
  • Provide expert advice on complex or unusual test requests and clinical result interpretation
  • Establish, monitor, and regularly review quality control and quality assurance systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through laboratory documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Lead training, education, and competency development for laboratory staff
  • Contribute to laboratory management through inventory oversight and supplier engagement

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Science or Medical Laboratory Science
  • Recent and relevant experience in Haemostasis and Special Haemostasis testing
  • Proficient in using laboratory information systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
