Job Title: Design and Technology Professional

Seeking an exceptional educator to join our secondary school team as a Design and Technology Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, inspiring students to develop their design, problem-solving, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential extension to Key Stage 5.
  • Teach a range of DT specialisms such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, or food technology, depending on expertise.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of progress and achievement.
  • Promote creativity, innovation, and resilience through hands-on projects and practical work.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop/classroom environment in line with health and safety requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
  • Be passionate about design, innovation, and practical learning.
  • Display strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and committed to raising achievement in DT.
