Software Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at RAC WA. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our members and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software solutions using cutting-edge technologies and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and understand requirements, ensuring solutions meet the needs of our stakeholders.
  • Architect solutions that align with our Group IT strategic capability and technology direction.
  • Implement cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code and apply DevOps principles to streamline build, release, and testing processes.
  • Test developed solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and functional testing.
  • Document solutions effectively to facilitate knowledge transfer to existing and future engineers and stakeholders.
  • Support systems used by RAC staff, members, and customers.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Commercial experience in developing and testing software solutions using.NET Framework, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Python.
  • Experience building cloud-native systems, preferably with Azure, and demonstrating DevOps practices in infrastructure and software delivery.
  • Proficiency in cloud provisioning using Terraform, ARM, and/or PowerShell.
  • Experience in various testing methods, including unit, integration, performance, functional, and automated testing.
  • Operated in an environment using agile methodologies, with experience in automated build and release (CI/CD) and requirements gathering in standard formats such as BDD.
  • Familiarity with mobile development, particularly with frameworks such as React Native, Ionic, or PWA.
  • Availability to meet operational working hours, reasonable overtime, be on-call during rostered periods, and travel between RAC sites, including occasional regional or interstate travel.
