Territory Sales Lead Job Description

This role is focused on leading the sales efforts for a subset of territory sales representatives and reseller partners. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in account-based sales and a deep understanding of the software industry.

As a Territory Sales Lead, you will drive revenue growth by managing key initiatives and sales performance for your assigned territory. You will also promote and manage senior-level relationships to ensure that customers' and partners' needs and requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and execute an extensive pipeline of active sales opportunities
  • Build effective strategies for pursuing selected opportunities in Public Sector and targeted direct led accounts
  • Create business plans and execute sales strategies in alignment with the partner channel
  • Work actively with the extended WWS team to support business growth and tangible customer value

Requirements

  • Degree in business or related disciplines
  • 8+ years relevant professional experience in Account based sales
  • Public Sector/Government experience would be regarded highly
  • Must be willing to travel 50% or more of time in order to achieve sales target
  • Proven sales ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasiveness, ability, and excellent communications skills
  • Experience in Software industry / Software sales coupled with the ability to deal with customers at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution
  • Strong Business ethics
  • Results orientated, with a natural ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
