Boulia State School is a small, rural school located in Western Queensland that offers a unique approach to education.

Cleaners play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the school. Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
  • Maintaining toilet facilities and sick bays, ensuring they are hygienic and clean.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Controlling cobwebs and mildew using extendable equipment when necessary.
  • Cleaning concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.

Applicants should have relevant work history and be able to provide two referees who can support their application.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
