About the Role

St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) is a leading teaching and research institution, providing a comprehensive range of adult clinical services. We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologist/Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join our team at the Medical Imaging Department.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate expertise in broad aspects of radiology, including DEXA, NM, and PET/CT, plain film radiography, fluoroscopic procedures, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. Competency in Abdominal Imaging and MRI is highly desirable.

As a consultant, the individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services to our inpatients and outpatients. The role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including DEXA, NM, and PET/CT
  • Participate in the development and implementation of imaging protocols and guidelines
  • Collaborate with other clinicians to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Medical Imaging Department
Requirements
  • Medical Degree from a recognized medical school
  • Nuclear Medicine FRACP/FRANZCR
  • RANZCR or RACP Fellowship
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Good standing with own Medical Defence Organisation
  • Radiation Use Licence
  • Competence with general MRI and Abdominal MRI
  • Competence in general radiology diagnostic and procedural skills
