Senior Planning Engineer Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead our planning team.

This challenging opportunity will enable you to contribute to the long-term growth and viability of our operations.

  • Develop short, medium, and long-term mine plans
  • Optimise life of mine to meet business objectives in terms of production and cost
  • Undertake all planning activities incorporating short, medium- and long-term planning requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, be competent in the use of mine planning and design software, and have strong report writing and presentation skills.

A Qualified Mining Engineer with 10 years' relevant experience in the mining industry is required. Holding a WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Short-Term Plans: Create detailed plans for the next quarter or year, taking into account production schedules and resource allocation.

Medium-Term Planning: Develop strategies for the next 1-3 years, ensuring alignment with business objectives and resource availability.

Long-Term Planning: Design and implement plans for the next 5-10 years, considering factors such as market trends, resource depletion, and environmental impact.

Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.

Experience: At least 10 years' experience in the mining industry, preferably in a planning role.

Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of mine planning and design software.
