Job Opportunity: Support and Care

This is a permanent full-time position located in Coffs Harbour, offering a stable and supportive environment for employees to grow and develop their skills.

The Permanency Support Program (PSP) is dedicated to providing culturally supported placement options for children and young people aged 0-18 years. Additionally, PSP offers a 'light touch' Aftercare service for young people aged 18-25 years who have left foster care and collaborate with the Extended Care Pilot program team to provide holistic support to young people using the Advantage Thinking approach.

Role Description:

This role assists the casework team with case management to achieve permanency outcomes when a child or young person enters our care. The successful candidate will serve as a recognized pathway and development opportunity to a full Caseworker role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A successful candidate will hold a Diploma (minimum) in Community Services or be enrolled and working towards a social service qualification.

Strong advocacy for children, young people and families is required along with being a collaborative team player.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – are essential.

Commitment to compliance – legal, government and policy – is necessary.

Technology savvy individuals are preferred.

Flexibility and continuous improvement are key characteristics of this role.
