The role of Operating Theatre Support Specialist involves providing exceptional customer service to the Operating Theatre Precinct, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties. This includes responding to inquiries in accordance with relevant legislation and agency policies.

This position requires a high level of administrative and clerical support to the Operating Theatre Precinct, including assistance to the theatre Associate Nurse Unit Manager and relevant managers. Key responsibilities include responding to internal and external stakeholder queries, word processing, spreadsheet maintenance, and database utilisation.

We are seeking an individual who embodies initiative, a positive attitude, multitasking skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Primary interactions will be with internal stakeholders, including executives and hospital staff.

Duties include greeting patients, facilitating requests from theatre management staff, utilising Microsoft packages, software such as iPM and DMR, coordinating shared mailboxes, and promoting productivity within the stream.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 06:30 - 14:30, 14:00 - 20:00

Weekends & Public Holidays: 07:00 - 15:00

All shifts will be shared amongst a team of four employees, with the successful applicant typically required to work one day (either Saturday or Sunday) every second weekend.

This is a permanent part-time shift worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
