Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled communications and marketing professional to lead our new marketing and communications team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth and expand our influence.

">About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building positive awareness of our brand and associated campaigns, improving member experience, increasing volume of new member leads, driving conversion of leads to members, increasing member retention, and driving engagement with underserviced members.

">Key Accountabilities
  • Brand Awareness: Build positive awareness of the new brand and associated campaign(s) through strategic digital marketing initiatives.
  • Member Experience: Improve member experience by developing targeted strategies to increase engagement with the union.
  • New Member Leads: Increase volume of new member leads by creating a strong pipeline of potential members.
  • Conversion Strategies: Drive conversion of leads to members by employing digital tools and working closely with organisers and campaign teams.
  • Member Retention: Increase member retention by working closely with member services to identify points of risk in the membership journey and implementing targeted strategies to increase loyalty and retention.
  • Underserviced Members: Drive engagement with underserviced members not engaged through the union's broader organising efforts towards workplace agreements (EBAs).
">Requirements
  • Digital Marketing: Digital marketing and communications experience.
  • Leadership: Leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data-Led Digital Marketing: Data-led digital marketing and communications skills.
  • Understanding of Digital Channels: Understanding of digital channels and tools.
  • Excellent Writing Skills: Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Public Affairs: Familiarity with public affairs issues and unions.

The position is available on a full-time permanent basis with a competitive package dependent on skills and experience.
