Job Role:

Windana provides connected services for people in need, supporting those experiencing alcohol and other drug harms, family violence, mental health challenges, and social disadvantage.

We collaborate with families, communities, and other organisations to deliver trauma-informed, equitable, culturally safe, and integrated services based on evidence and practice wisdom.

The Step Thru Care – Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) model is a partnership-led service delivery model addressing independent and co-occurring Mental Health and AOD support needs across western Victoria.

This service provides a holistic approach to care, addressing various social, physical, and emotional needs informed by Collaborative Relational Practice (CRP) and supported by best practice in evidence-based and evidence-informed care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with consumers to provide high-quality psychological therapies and clinical interventions.
  • Offer comprehensive assessment and collaborative treatment planning to consumers.
  • Facilitate group interventions focused on multiple treatment modalities, including psychoeducation, trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, and other therapeutic interventions when necessary.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with public and private Mental Health and AOD Services to ensure a collaborative approach to intake, escalation, and exit.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in AOD & Mental Health.
  • Proven clinical expertise in applying evidence-based psychological therapies/interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling rapport building and client outcomes facilitation.
