Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our acute general medical stream at Monash Health. As a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our inclusive and passionate occupational therapy and allied health staff to provide excellent, evidence-based care for patients and their families/carers across general medical wards and other areas as required.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality assessments and interventions for patients within a fast-paced environment
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care
- Develop and implement clear communication strategies to advocate for best care for patients
- Engage patients in their treatment journey and promote their participation in occupational therapy
- Contribute to the development of department resources and research pursuits
- Experience in providing high-quality clinical services to patients in the acute setting
- Passion for enhancing patient experiences and facilitating occupational performance
- Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision, and promoting the growth and development of staff
- Aptitude for ongoing learning and personal professional development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry, research, and service improvement
