Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead our mechanical engineering capability. This role will oversee the design, analysis, and testing of complex mechanical systems and contribute to all phases of the product development lifecycle from research and development through to production.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient mechanical system designs that meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Drive process improvements and innovation within the mechanical engineering team.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in mechanical engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience across R&D, design, validation, and production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in Defence, Space, or start-up environments is highly regarded.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years' experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering teams.

  • Previous experience in Defence, Space, or start-up environments is highly regarded.
