Job Title: Project Development Coordinator

The Construction Project Coordinator is a pivotal role that plays a critical part in the success of mid and high-rise projects, as well as mixed-use developments nationwide. This individual will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for supporting the construction process from start to finish.

The role involves managing schedules, budgets, tenders, notifications, approval processes, contracts, change orders, and more. Key responsibilities include arranging project documentation, preparing subcontracts, POs, change orders, bank draws, site instructions, certificates of substantial completion, and assisting with proposals, tenders, and contract management.

A key aspect of this role is effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external parties such as consultants, contractors, vendors, and inspectors. The Construction Project Coordinator will also assist with start-up documentation, including Ministry of Labour forms, insurance, utilities, and utility stakeouts.

This position requires strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project is essential, as well as a thorough knowledge of building methodologies, materials, and science. Experience with construction drawings, scheduling, and project management software is highly desirable.

  • Experience with construction drawings, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape plans;">
  • Strong budgeting and scheduling skills, with proficiency in scheduling and project management software;">
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and in a team;">
  • Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel within Victoria, BC.">
