Job Title: Cloud Data Specialist

A Cloud Data Specialist is required to maintain a deep understanding of data components including Cassandra, Elastic Search/Open Search, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, and operate and automate properly configured clusters.

The role involves operating databases in Kubernetes and managing container images. Developing infrastructure services to support a DevOps approach for engineering teams is also a key aspect of this position.

This specialist will collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues and ensure petabytes of critical business data are safe, secure, and available.

Required Skills:
  • Configuration management (Chef)
  • Scripting in Python and Bash
  • Experience with large-scale datastores using Cassandra, Elastic Search, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL
  • Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments
  • Experience operating within the cloud, preferably AWS, GCP, and OCI
