Behaviour Support Practitioner - Paediatrics Role

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours and be able to develop and implement effective support plans.

  • This role involves working with children and their families to identify needs, develop support plans, and provide behaviour support services.
  • You will work in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and psychologists to deliver high-quality care.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to write clear reports, and have a valid driver's license. A background in behaviour support or a related field is essential.

What You'll Do
  • Assist participants and their families to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment.
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework.
Requirements
  • Current suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Proficient or Advanced level.
  • Experience supporting people with behaviours of concern (professionally or personally).
  • Excellent report writing skills and strong communication abilities.
