**Role Overview:**

Audit and Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in identifying quality and risk within an organization through rigorous audits.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify compliance risks
  • Provide recommendations for improvement and monitor compliance with established strategies
  • Investigate departmental compliance issues and develop corrective action plans
  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective compliance programs and policies
  • Evaluate adherence to industry regulations, laws, and standards

**Additional Responsibilities:**

  • Licensing - Conduct add to-license inspections and review LCS6 documentation on behalf of the nominated representative
  • Policy Development and Deployment - Identify local policy gaps and recommend improvements
  • Workplace Health and Safety component - Foster a safety culture by prioritizing environmental, psychological, and social safety

**Requirements:**

  • Diploma in Human Services, Social Work, or equivalent experience
  • Previous auditing experience is essential
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in a related field
  • Prior experience in residential care and child protection is highly valued

**Travel Requirements:**

Regular travel to regional offices and residential placements for audits and meetings.
