Job Opportunity

As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our Construction practice group in Melbourne. This role requires a flexible approach, strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative duties such as document management, diary/inbox management and managing enquiries
  • Opening and closing matters, conducting conflict searches, filing and archiving
  • Attending to time entries, processing third party invoices, team expenses
  • Word processing including drafting documents as required
  • Preparation of documents including letters, contracts and general correspondence
  • Assistance with court document preparation and drafting
  • Managing the team's monthly billing

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, ideally with exposure to litigation and court filing processes
  • Confidence to 'manage-up' to ensure workflows are prioritised
  • A customer service approach, with the ability to build relationships
  • Strong initiative, with the ability to work autonomously to achieve tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
