About the Role
: We are seeking a skilled Event Management Coordinator to join our team at Events ACT and play a key role in delivering some of Canberra's most iconic events.This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in event or project management who can manage contracts, coordinate diverse stakeholders, and ensure seamless event delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring contracted event managers, maintaining project documentation, and acting as the primary communication point between team members and external partners. They will support event planning and delivery, manage suppliers and volunteers, and ensure workplace health and safety standards are met.
In addition, they will contribute to government grant applications, procurement processes, and contract documentation.
We seek someone with strong communication and project management skills, experience in high-pressure environments, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Integrity and professionalism are essential, as you will align with the ACT Public Service Values and Events ACT Values.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
A competitive salary package is on offer for this position, including a base salary of approximately $93,000 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading. Additionally, flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
