We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Torrens University Australia. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our expansive cloud ecosystem, with a focus on Microsoft O365 and Azure.
Key Responsibilities- Cloud Services Management: Oversee the administration and continuous evolution of O365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform, to enable staff and online learning.
- Azure Infrastructure Management: Manage Azure resources, such as Virtual Machines, EntraID, Azure Active Directory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure App Services, and other specialized services.
- Automation and Optimization: Develop automation tools to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency and cost optimization.
- Multi-Cloud and Infrastructure Support: Provide expertise in areas related to cloud infrastructure and interdependent services and applications.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT teams, faculty, and staff to understand their needs and provide technical support.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Deploy scalable and secure cloud solutions using O365 and Azure services.
- Drive Innovation: Evaluate and implement emerging technologies within the Microsoft O365 and Azure ecosystem.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Industry-Related Cloud Certifications: Highly advantageous.
- Minimum 8 Years' Experience in Infrastructure Engineering.
- Extensive Hands-On Experience with Azure, with additional experience in GCP or AWS being beneficial.
- Proven Problem-Solving and Analytical Abilities, delivering innovative solutions.
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
