Drilling Specialist Role

The primary objective of this position is to operate land-based drilling rigs in Australia, recover accurate samples according to customer specifications, and maintain high industry standards in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out pre-start checks and safety inspections as per the drilling plan.
  • Servicing and maintenance of drill rig and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Rig operation including set-up, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to.
  • Sample recovery and maintaining the hole as per the hole plan.
  • Housekeeping and effective communication among crew members.
  • Inventory control and reporting updates on GDA-EMS.
  • Providing training to drill crews in their required tasks.
  • Safe operation of Rig & Crew.

Requirements:

  • A current HR class license (or equivalent).
  • Generic construction experience.
  • At least 10 years' drilling experience with RC-Deep Diamond directional-Water bore exposure.
  • Cert III Drilling certification.
