Job Description

The role of Cost Manager is a key position in our team, responsible for project deliverables through the life cycle of the project, including estimating, procurement, contract, and post-contract activities.

  • Responsible for project deliverables, including estimating, procurement, contract, and post-contract activities for projects valued between $1m to $10m.
  • Develop good working relationships with client project management teams and internal cost management teams.
  • Gain a good understanding of processes, tools, and best practice templates used to meet deliverables.
  • Gain a good understanding of terminology and ways of working within the retail sector.
  • Provide clients with cost advice for budget purposes, including cost planning of upcoming projects (new stores and renewals).
  • Clearly understand scope of service and carry out commission management functions at project level.
  • Feasibility cost plans.
  • Manage deliverables for retail projects at different stages within a large programme of works.
  • Oversee 5 to 6 projects within supermarkets and metro workstreams.
  • Key point of contact at project level between T&T and client delivery project manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar.
  • Sound experience in cost planning.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and have good client-facing skills.
  • CostX experience.
  • A valid driving license.
