Job Opportunity
This is a part-time position, supporting students completing their Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work.
We are seeking a skilled individual with lived experience of mental health challenges to join our team as a Peer Work Placement Coordinator. The role will involve coordinating the student placement program and collaborating with external training providers to deliver best-in-class learning experiences and student outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, and a passion for empowering lived experience students and early-career peer workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the student placement program
- Administer and evaluate its success
- Collaborate with external training providers
Requirements:
- Lived experience of mental health challenges or a family member, carer or supporter of someone with mental health challenges
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work
- Substantial experience providing mental health peer work as part of a lived experience workforce
Desirable Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and organisational skills
- Passion for empowering lived experience students and early-career peer workers
Educational Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work
Work Experience:
- Substantial experience providing mental health peer work as part of a Lived Experience Workforce
