Job Summary

Gryphon Capital Investments Pty Ltd, a Barings Company, is a specialist fixed income manager operating in the Australian RMBS and ABS fixed income markets. The operations team plays a key role in providing support for the Gryphon team, providing reporting for key stakeholders, both within Barings and externally, and ensuring key operational processes, such as the bond trade and settlement process, functions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in fund administration support for an ASX Listed Investment Trust and two Unlisted Investment Trusts, including the calculation and verification of fund net asset values, fund unitholder distributions, liaising with fund service providers, and processing payments for each fund.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly client reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process and book trade instructions, coordinating with trade counterparties and custodians to facilitate trade settlements.
  • Reconcile daily portfolio and cash positions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain the Gryphon website, ensuring up-to-date information and accuracy.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for portfolio managers, providing insights and recommendations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in fund administration, finance, accounting, or analytical roles.
  • Basic understanding of finance concepts, although not essential.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and collaborative approach.
