This role involves supporting individuals with their daily activities and empowering them to live independently.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and have a strong passion for providing high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting clients with personal care and domestic assistance
  • Promoting independence through skill-building and empowerment
  • Assisting with transport, social participation, and community access
  • Administering medication (if suitably qualified)
  • Deliivering short-term and respite care for families and carers
  • Supporting clients with emotional, behavioural, mental health, and technology needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or above in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related field
  • Minimum 12 months of relevant experience
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Commitment to person-centred care and client independence
