Compliance and Operational Leadership Opportunity

This pivotal role is centered on ensuring quarry operations remain safe, sustainable, and fully compliant with regulatory and environmental standards. As a Compliance Specialist, you will leverage your expert knowledge to drive excellence across multiple quarries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead compliance practices and shape operational alignment with legislative and environmental obligations
  • Collaborate closely with quarry management, regulators, and operational teams to embed accountability and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Compliance-savvy and confident in technical knowledge
  • Guiding regulators and operational teams effectively
  • Proactively addressing risks before escalation

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in quarry management, health & safety management, geology, or a related field
  • Quarry Practising Certificate (essential)
  • Strong understanding of quarry operations, regulations, and environmental management practices
  • Demonstrated experience in high-risk environments with a strong safety focus
  • Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Incident investigation and reporting experience
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
