Event Coordinator

About the Role
The Event Coordinator will provide support to venue teams in venue and event administration, event planning, and delivery. Reporting to the Event Planning Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting both Front of House and Back of House functions, and assisting with organisational projects to drive operational, customer, and people improvements at events.
This role will see the Event Coordinator work closely with team members, clients, business partners, and the Event Delivery Workforce team. When required, the Event Coordinator will work alongside the Event Delivery Leader performing supporting roles at events, with a focus on delivering world-class customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Event Management and Operations with the coordination of planning for multiple functions and events.
- Plan and deliver events up to 400 guests independently.
- Effectively manage the demands of clients and stakeholders while ensuring event documentation is completed within the desired timeframe.
- Assist the Event Executive Managers and Operations Managers/Leaders with the production of event-related documentation and provide assistance as necessary in relation to the staging of events.
- Contribute to Australian Open planning and delivery.
Event Delivery
- Perform supporting Team Leader roles at events, including Client/Guest Services Leader.
- Display M&OP's Values in all interactions and bring the Values to life at Events with the Event Delivery Workforce.
- Communicate at events with team members, ensuring standards, roles, and responsibilities are understood and delivered.
- Support the implementation of improvement projects and initiatives at events.
Strategic Organisational Projects
- Seek to understand different customer requirements to tailor specific customer outcomes, including using customer data to drive continual improvement.
- Assist with problem-solving customer issues effectively and drive ongoing customer improvements.
- Identify areas of improvement and efficiencies in the operational event planning process.
- Support a proactive approach to Safety through event planning and delivery, with a focus on early hazard reporting and management.
