About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Airside and Checked Baggage Screening Manager to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to our security personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic and operational leadership to our security team, ensuring the delivery of contractual KPIs and maintaining a secure and safe environment across the site.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure consistent delivery of security services according to agreed processes that meet and/or exceed our contractual/regulatory obligations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain productive relationships with our clients, airport stakeholders, and other key partners.
  • Security Program Governance: Ensure the security program has due regard for the needs of our passengers and business partners, and that robust governance is in place to deliver quality security outcomes.
  • Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Complete regular reporting and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure we are compliant with a continuous improvement focus.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience in the management of large security operations, preferably in a security or aviation environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Inspirational, strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strategic Planning: Strategic and operational planning specialist with the ability to develop and implement effective plans.
  • Customer Relationship Skills: Well-honed customer relationship skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Security Licenses: Ability to secure an ASIC and hold appropriate security licenses.
