About the Role

The role of Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) is a critical one, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide urgent and acute care to those who need it most.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and provide clinical intervention for individuals admitted into Hospital in the Home under the care of a specialist medical officer.
  • Work collaboratively with the Virtual Care and Triage team to support NSW Ambulance Service and residential aged care facilities in keeping patients out of hospital.
  • Liaise with other service providers servicing the local population.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • A registered medical practitioner with an unrestricted or 19AB exempted provider number.
  • Recognized specialist qualifications and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive team culture.
