Job Overview

The Teaching Principal is a leadership role that requires vision, expertise and dedication to provide high-quality education to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and manage the daily operations of a public school, ensuring effective use of resources and achievement of educational outcomes.
  • Teaching and Learning: Develop and implement comprehensive teaching and learning programs that cater to diverse student needs, promoting academic excellence and wellbeing.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community through effective communication, interpersonal skills and collaboration.
  • Staff Development: Manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning, identifying areas for growth and providing coaching and support.
  • Resource Planning: Plan and manage resources effectively to enhance teaching and learning, ensuring equity and access for all students.

The successful applicant will possess exceptional leadership and management skills, the ability to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning programs, and a strong commitment to the education and wellbeing of students.

The ideal candidate will have proven capacity to lead and manage complex public schools, develop and implement rigorous and inclusive whole-school teaching and learning programs, build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community through effective communication and interpersonal skills, manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning, and plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
