About the Role- Create detailed designs, technical specifications, test plans and other documentation to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with our electronics workshop to service equipment by locating information, providing advanced fault diagnosis, examining repair records and designing modifications.
- Evaluate costs for new designs, including engineering time estimates, assembly and test time estimates, and negotiate quotations from suppliers.
- Audit Contract Electronics Manufacturers and other suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Represent us at client sites for technical support and on-site testing activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer or Mechatronic Engineering or related field, with ability to achieve professional registration with Engineers Australia.
- Minimum 2 years experience in electronics design, including hands-on assembly and testing of prototypes, troubleshooting circuits and schematic entry.
- Experience with PCB layout software (Altium Designer preferred) and software development for embedded microcontrollers in C.
- Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Assembler, AHDL, VHDL and scripting languages.
