Job Description

Job Title: Discipline Lead - Physiotherapy Services

Department: Department of Health Tasmania

Location: Hospitals South

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 76 hours per fortnight

Salary: $154,015 - $155,947 per annum + 11% superannuation

Benefits: Salary packaging, professional development allowance, and other benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of physiotherapists and allied health professionals
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for physiotherapy services in Hospitals South
  • Provide high-level advice and support to the Executive Director of Allied Health
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to improve health outcomes and services
  • Ensure compliance with professional and clinical governance standards
  • Develop and maintain links with teaching programs, research opportunities, and community engagement

Requirements:

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • High-level management experience and professional leadership skills
  • Strong clinical practice expertise and experience in public health and tertiary hospital settings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
