Job Summary
We are currently searching for a highly skilled Construction Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our site-based team on Project Ceres. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the local electrical and instrumentation teams, ensuring work is completed according to project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the local electrical and instrumentation teams, ensuring work is completed according to project plans, schedules, and quality standards.
- Supervise the planning, execution, and completion of construction/fabrication projects with a focus on E&I.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical & instrumentation systems.
- Mentor and support local team members, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Maintain and record project documentation.
- Collaborate with project and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Ability to work a 6:2 rotation to Chennai, India required.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar position, with proven experience in leading teams.
- Experience in an EPC or lump sum environment, particularly in Oil & Gas or Construction - international experience will be highly regarded.
- High focus on ensuring that all aspects of the construction work is performed safely.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian standards and compliance requirements.
- Relevant certifications (e.g Bachelors Degree or equivalent, PMP and A Grade Electrical Licence) are required.
- Hazardous Area Training Certificate (EEHA) Inspection required.
- Ability to hold Electrical Contractors/Nominee Licence, highly regarded.
