Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Geologist to join our team. This role will involve conducting survey analysis on soil and rock behavior under pressure, investigating geological formations, and conducting scientific investigations and testing.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in geology or engineering geology and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct survey analysis on the behavior and mechanics of soil and rock when placed under pressure by proposed structures
  • Investigate geological formations and ground behavior, and conduct scientific investigations and testing to understand the impact of these formations on geotechnical and tunnel projects
  • Conduct studies of the structure, nature, and formation of the earth's crust to inform geotechnical and civil engineering design
  • Manage and perform analysis, and carry out geological and geotechnical reporting for projects
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree in Geology or Engineering Geology, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 2 years' experience performing a similar role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
