About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Mobile Engineering team as the Director of Mobile Application Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the engineering vision and strategy for our internal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and support the engineering vision for our internal customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies that enable the team to align to the tools and languages required to improve our systems, optimize operations, and stimulate growth.
  • Define the team's objectives, best engineering practices, policies, and skill proficiencies.
  • Ensure that the delivered solutions conform to the agreed-upon principles and best methodology while aligning with the company's strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in the telco industry, complemented with exposure to leadership, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Industry certifications in web languages or tools, integration languages, and/or technical people leadership and coaching.
  • Experience in managing teams working on complex products/solutions and capability development projects.
  • Strong understanding of IT risk, information security fundamentals, defense-in-depth practices, IT risk assessment fundamentals, and risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical, creative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, while being proficient in Agile methodologies.
  • Direct customer focus with refined communication skills and attention to detail.
