Corporate Lawyer - Financial Services Regulatory Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Lawyer to join our Sydney-based team. As a Financial Services Regulatory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of high-calibre matters.

You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, including drafting and reviewing fund constitutions and trust deeds, disclosure documents, authorised representative agreements, investment management agreements, compliance plans, financial services guides and AML/CTF programs.

Our ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a client-centred approach, enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, and be committed to building a successful career in financial services law.

The role involves providing strategic advice to wholesale and retail funds, payment providers, and other financial service providers on AML/CTF compliance and advising on the acquisition and disposal of funds management and financial services businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of high-calibre clients, including fund managers, financial planners, stockbrokers, payment providers, and foreign financial services providers.
  • Provide strategic advice on AML/CTF compliance and corporate advisory services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies and growth initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of four years post-admission experience in a similar role.
  • Strong background in financial services and corporate advisory.
  • Excellent technical expertise and a client-centric approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
