Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven Logistics Operations Manager to oversee the performance, presentation, and efficiency of our drivers operating in various zones.

This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality deliveries and pickups. You will play a vital role in making sure operations run smoothly, focusing on cost-effective delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of driver compliance and route efficiency, as well as good people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Management: Ensure all drivers operate safely and follow safety standards.
  • Leadership: Lead daily toolbox talks, safety checks, and driver compliance conversations.
  • Incident Management: Manage and investigate incidents involving drivers and vehicles.
  • Compliance: Monitor driver working hours to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility laws.
  • Appearance and Vehicle Cleanliness: Oversee driver appearance and vehicle cleanliness, and carry out regular audits.
  • Delivery Tracking: Ensure all deliveries are scanned and signed for, and exceptions are followed up.
  • Performance Tracking: Track and communicate driver performance, daily KPIs, and route results.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a transport, logistics, or operations leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of driver compliance and route efficiency.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Data analysis skills with confidence in using data to track performance and improve operations.
  • Conflict management skills with excellent communication skills.
