Overview

Simmonds Group is a group of growing businesses and we are looking for a dedicated person to join the friendly team located in Landsdale. We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to assist in day to day fleet & logistics management.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Production Managers across the group and our fleet of trucks/drivers to oversee their day to day schedules and operations.
  • Ensure logistics functions run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Job pricing, and permit/documentation processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of fleet management, transport logistics, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Manage operational costs and subcontractor expenses.
  • Manage fleet scheduling, routing, and resource utilization to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, SLP).
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure a high standard of service delivery.
  • Lead and support drivers and contractors.
  • Familiar with port booking or willing to learn
Qualifications
  • Experience in logistics and transport operations (essential)
  • Solid understanding of fleet scheduling, compliance, and cost control
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills
