About the Role

The Hospital Assistant will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective delivery of cleaning services in all areas of the hospital to provide a clean environment and to minimise healthcare-associated infections.

The successful candidate will facilitate patient-centred care by ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cleaning services in all areas of the hospital
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety are delivered
  • Facilitate patient-centred care

Requirements:

  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
  • Experience as a cleaner in a Health or Aged Care environment (desirable)
  • Able to effectively follow directions and complete tasks
  • Able to communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Capable of working autonomously, and liaising with staff, volunteers, patients and visitors to get the job done
