About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem. As a Speech Pathologist in our NDIS Provider Service, you will work closely with participants and their families to provide comprehensive Speech Pathology support in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide home-based Speech Pathology support to participants with progressive neurological diseases, including Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Huntington's disease.
  • Work collaboratively with the NDIS Provider Service Allied Health Staff, Bethlehem clinical staff, and external stakeholders to deliver a collaborative service to participants and their families.
  • Prescribe Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, including high and low-tech options, and write funding applications as needed.
Requirements
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • NDIS Worker Check required.
  • Current driving license.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in progressive neurological disease management, including MND and Huntington's Disease.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge and expertise in NDIS funding processes and report writing.
  • Dysphagia management experience is essential.
  • Experience with AAC and multi-modal communication is desirable.
