Leisure Activities Coordinator

As a key member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to plan, coordinate and facilitate various leisure and recreational activities for residents. This will involve taking into consideration their interests, abilities and preferences to ensure that all activities are engaging and enjoyable.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Planning and coordinating group outings, social events and entertainment programs to promote social interaction and engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to meet the individual needs of residents.
  • Assisting in the preparation and decoration of common areas for special events and holidays.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative and quality improvement requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care is desirable.
  • Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for older people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
