CAD Operator/Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Operator/Technician to join our team at Parklife Metro in Greater Western Sydney.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing, allocating, and tracking all CAD tasks within project teams, providing technical support and advice related to design and engineering drawings.

  • Reviewing design work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes, design scope, and standards, as well as drafting schedules.
  • Actively participating in the development of engineering solutions using technical skills and experience, as well as design and construction knowledge.
  • Contributing to the development, integration, coordination, and use of three-dimensional (3D) models of SSTOM project and BIM integration focusing on Civil, rail, and linear disciplines.
  • Customizing and adapting software, mainly AutoCAD, 12D, Civil 3D, and Open Roads, to improve team performance and output quality.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawings required for site activities such as site establishment, request of changes to Permanent Works, construction details from sketches to professional drawings to support the construction team.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Drafting & Design is a must.
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Construction preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Civil infrastructure discipline.
  • Minimum Experience x Experience in CAD design (AutoCAD Civil3D, Autodesk AutoCAD 2D/3D, and 12D).
  • Project experience in civil and rail design & construction.

  • Excellent administration skills with willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of relevant industry standards.
  • CAD, BIM, Digital Engineering Literate.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Proven experience in documentation collation.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused.
Estimated Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
