Senior Librarian/Shift Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Librarian/Shift Leader to join our team at Lane Cove Council. As a key member of our library team, you will be responsible for supervising the library during rostered shifts, managing the Home Library Service, and coordinating the Library volunteer program.
About the Role
This is a permanent part-time position, working 21 hours per week, with a mix of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday shifts. You will be responsible for:
- Supervising the library during rostered shifts and ensuring the smooth operation of the library service
- Managing the Home Library Service, including coordinating the delivery of library materials to clients
- Coordinating the Library volunteer program, including recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers
- Assisting with the management of the Large Print collection and other library materials
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor Degree or Graduate Diploma in Librarianship/Information Science or equivalent, providing eligibility for Associate membership of ALIA
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality customer service and a strong understanding of community engagement principles
- Ability to work shifts in the evening and on the weekend, as required
- A current C Class Driver's Licence and a current Police Check
- A Current Paid Worker - Working with Children Check Clearance (NSW)
