Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of internal budget, data analysis, and management.
  • Prepare monthly reporting activities, including CFO reporting, capital reporting, capital spending, and budgeting.
  • Manage and coordinate the grant acquittal reporting process for externally funded projects.
  • Ensure financial and procurement activity is accurately recorded and consistent with contracts, budgets, guidelines, and accounting standards.
  • Assist with system implementation changes and business improvement activities.
  • Produce structured and ad-hoc reports, memos, policies, procedures, and analysis on financial performance for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff, management, and clients.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Experience within Finance Officer/Accounting/Managing Budgets
  • Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business with the agency and the outcomes the agency is responsible for delivering
  • Ability to contribute to a team
  • Preference for APS experience in finance
