About The Role

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing capital and operating cost estimates for projects. In this role, you will utilize cost estimation databases and tools to develop accurate project estimates, including analysis of project data to provide relevant benchmarking. You will provide estimating leadership, supervision, and support to other team members and develop estimates to help advise project developers on cost-effective project solutions in accordance with the Project Development Framework.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification at degree level in an engineering discipline, construction management, quantity surveying, or related field is required.
  • Several years' experience in managing and/or using estimating systems for major capital works is necessary.
  • You must possess a very high standard of interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills, personal integrity, and professionalism.
  • High-level problem-solving and analytical skills, including the assessment and costing of complex projects, are essential.
  • You should have a strong focus on detail and accuracy, balanced with the ability to work quickly, under pressure, and to deadlines.
  • A strong commercial focus to costing of projects is also required.
