About Us

The Advanced Trainee in Psychiatry plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care within the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provides expert clinical care to patients across various settings, including hospitals, correctional facilities, and community services.
  2. Works under the supervision of a designated consultant psychiatrist, adhering to RANZCP guidelines and protocols.
  3. Must possess a minimum of two years postgraduate experience in psychiatry, with a valid medical degree and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  4. Completion of Stage 2 RANZCP training requirements and eligibility for Stage 3 training are mandatory.
  5. Residency status in Australia or a current working visa is required, along with a valid driver's license for driving in NSW.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Minimum two years postgraduate experience in psychiatry
  • Completion of Stage 2 RANZCP training requirements
  • Eligibility for Stage 3 RANZCP training
