Position: Aboriginal Health Worker – Cancer Care Coordinator in a Multidisciplinary Team.
">Culturally Safe Primary Health Care Services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples are provided by this role.
">- Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage. This is a Genuine Occupational Qualification authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act (NSW).">
- Hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care or relevant health qualifications or formal commitment to complete within two years with training supported by the district.">
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of local Aboriginal community and health challenges with ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.">
- Understanding of Aboriginal chronic disease and lifestyle-related health issues with cultural factors influencing healthcare.">
- Ability to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate health promotion and education initiatives using computer programs for planning, delivering, documenting care including patient records and data reporting.">
Aims to close the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through Stepping Up program providing guidance and resources to assist applicants through recruitment process.
