Design and Events Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Design and Events Coordinator to join our Brickworks Design Studio in Melbourne, VIC.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading building materials company, influencing the long-term sustainable growth of the Brickworks Building Products group by facilitating stylish events where customers and staff can experience Brickworks products and service in a safe and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate opportunities for events held by industry partners at the Design Studio.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out colour consultations with project builder clients, completing colour schedules and achieving upgrades where possible.
  • Manage Design Studio events or coordinate these through third-party event providers when appropriate.
  • Drive promotion of the Design Studio through collaboration with the Brickworks Group Marketing team.
  • Attend all events (where appropriate) to create and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Assist customers who visit the Design Studio, using all opportunities to promote Brickworks products.
  • Assist with meeting Design Studio key performance indicators, managing contacts and creating opportunities within Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide first-class customer service in all instances.
  • Raise purchase orders, submit invoices, submit credit card expenses by due dates and in line with company policy.
  • Assist with keeping running costs within budget.
  • Keep safety top of mind and ensure Brickworks OH&S policy is adhered to during events.
  • Restock material samples, assisting the Design Studio Manager with merchandising when required.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, design, or business/event management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Colour Consultation experience desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs desired.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong organisational skills.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and solid numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all staff.
